How to Point Your Domain to a Subdomain of WhiteLabPixel

WhiteLabPixel is a powerful platform for doctors who want to quickly and easily create their own website. By simply filling out a form, doctors can generate a website that is hosted on a subdomain of whitelabpixel.com. But what if you have your own domain that you want to use for your website? Luckily, it's easy to point your domain to your WhiteLabPixel subdomain with a CNAME record.

Step 1: Log into Your Domain Registrar

First, you'll need to log into your domain registrar's website. This is where you can manage your domain's DNS settings. The process for accessing your DNS settings will vary depending on your registrar, but typically you'll need to find a section labeled 'DNS Management,' 'Domain Manager,' or something similar.

Step 2: Create a CNAME Record

Once you've accessed your DNS settings, you'll need to create a CNAME record. A CNAME record is a type of DNS record that allows you to map one domain name to another. In this case, you'll be mapping your custom domain to your WhiteLabPixel subdomain.

To create a CNAME record, you'll need to enter the following information:

  • Host: This is part of your domain that you want to map to your WhiteLabPixel subdomain. For example, if you want to map the domain dramitkumar.com to the subdomain amit-kumar.whitelabpixel.com, your host will be 'dramitkumar.com'.
  • Value: This is the subdomain of your WhiteLabPixel website that you want to map your custom domain to. In this case, your value will be 'amit-kumar.whitelabpixel.com'.
  • TTL: This stands for 'time to live and determines how long the record will be cached by DNS servers. You can usually leave this set to the default value.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

Once you've entered the necessary information for your CNAME record, save your changes. It may take a few hours for the changes to propagate across the internet, so be patient. After the changes have propagated, you should be able to access your WhiteLabPixel website using your custom domain.

That's it! By creating a CNAME record, you can easily point your domain to your WhiteLabPixel subdomain without having to make any DNS modifications on the WhiteLabPixel side. With your custom domain mapped to your WhiteLabPixel subdomain, you'll have a professional-looking website that's easy to remember and share with your patients.
